This workshop explores the copying, repetition and displacement of ceramic forms, based on the idea of “bis” as reprise and variation. Based on a study of the Massier family’s Complets, through their catalogs, students will work on notions of verticality, imbrication and imitation. By observing decorative registers and their iconographic sources, they will question the legacy of Art Nouveau and its contemporary extensions. Conducted collectively using old Vallauris molds and modeled forms, the project will aim to produce sculptural pieces, without ruling out photographic work that echoes questions of reprise and variation.

After graduating from ENS Louis-Lumière in 2011, I’ve been developing my artistic work on the relationship between intimacy and collective memory, as well as on the common places conveyed by objects, envisaged as supports for projection, narrative and transmission. Since 2018, I’ve been combining my photographic work with a ceramic practice, having trained in Vallauris, the town where I grew up, famous for its ceramic production. I have taken part in various exhibitions and creative residencies, including Fluxus Magnetic 3 in Wales in 2025, organized by the Institut Français in the UK.
