Board of Directors
The École supérieure d’art et de design des Pyrénées is a public administrative establishment whose public service missions are higher education in the arts and artistic education. A public establishment for cultural cooperation created on January 1, 2011, it is administered by a board of directors and its president. It is headed by a director.
The Board of Directors is the deliberative assembly of the establishment. It brings together all the members of the Board of Directors, whether they represent local authorities, the State, qualified individuals, staff or students.
It is the main body for validating the establishment’s general policy. In accordance with article 10 of the school’s bylaws, it deliberates on all matters relating to the operation of the school, including general policy, budgetary and accounting decisions, tuition fees and pricing policies, permanent positions and the school’s internal regulations.
The Board of Directors meets at least twice a year, alternating between the Pau and Tarbes sites. Elections are held regularly for staff and student representatives, in accordance with the school’s statutes.

COPSVEP
The Conseil d’orientation pédagogique, scientifique, de la vie étudiante et de perfectionnement (COPSVEP) is the advisory and consultative body for the school’s stakeholders and partners.
COPSVEP is consulted on all matters relating to the school’s educational, scientific and cultural activities, and in particular on :
- the organization of teaching
- reflection on teaching content
- adapting teaching to training objectives
- the definition of research to be carried out within the various courses of study
- implementing partnerships and exchanges
- defining a policy for exhibitions, publications and the dissemination of research work
- organizing student life.
It meets at least twice a year, and is organized into thematic commissions.
In accordance with the institution’s statutes, it is made up of :
- the Director
- the pedagogical director
- two representatives of the coordinating teachers*, and
- one representative of the teaching staff*, and
- three representatives of technical support staff (1), teaching staff (1) and library staff (1)*, and
- two student representatives*, and
- two representatives of post-baccalaureate and higher education and/or research establishments with cooperative links to the school*; and
- two qualified persons from professional circles concerned by the school’s activities*.

TC and CHSCT
The Technical Committee (TC) and the Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee (CHSCT) are statutory bodies for social dialogue governed by Decree no. 85-565 of May 30, 1985.
The Technical Committee and the Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee of the ÉSAD Pyrénées are made up of :
- 4 staff representatives (college of staff representatives)
- 4 employer representatives (collège des représentants de l’employeur)

Educational meetings
Pedagogical meetings are not a statutory obligation. Held over two days at the end of the year and before the start of the new school year, they bring together all teachers and part of the resource team to prepare the organization of teaching, future projects and timetables in line with the school’s orientations. They also provide an opportunity to take stock of the year and discuss professional practices.
