Portraits filmés | Meeting with Véronique Lamare and Aurélien Mauplot

How do you present an artist’s work? What are the possibilities for telling the story of what they do, under what conditions, with what intentions?
These questions are at the heart of the Documents d’artistes Nouvelle-Aquitaine association’s editorial project, and are reflected in the six films it has recently produced on local visual artists.

Two of them, directed by Camille Auburtin and Christophe Leroy, will be shown on Monday March 9 in the presence of artists Véronique Lamare and Aurélien Mauplot. It’s an opportunity for them to share their thoughts on the delicate exercise of presenting themselves, their approach and their career path. And to exchange views on how to be an artist and make a living from it.

The meeting will be moderated by Sébastien Gazeau, director of Documents d’artistes Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
