“Cabin(s), off-site exhibition”
, Le Bel ordinaire, Billère
3rd year Art students’ exhibition installation.
Opening during the Fiesta du BO on April 1, from 7pm to 11pm.
The Cabane(s) project brings together the work of ESAD 3rd-year art students in the Bel Ordinaire ephemeral gallery.
Starting from a common skeleton, the idea is to reflect on and imagine what a cabin might be.
A space for projections, dreams and stories, a political space, the result of a choice of life and geography, a temporary space, a space for DIY and creation, a place for pest control… so many possibilities are brought together here to ultimately propose a giant hut inside which you are invited to circulate.
“We are where our presence makes the world happen. We’re full of energy and simple plans, we’re alive, we camp on the shore and talk to ghosts, and something in the air, the stories we tell, makes us both modest and invincible. For our need to install somewhere on earth what we’ve dreamed of knows no end.”
Mathieu Riboulet, “Nous campons sur les rives”, quoted in Marielle Macé’s book Nos cabanes.
Project proposed by Jeanne Tzaut, sculpture/installation teacher at ÉSAD Pyrénées, with the support of Benoit Bruguera and Jean-Marc Saint-Paul.
Thanks to Le Bel Ordinaire team for their warm welcome and support, and for allowing us to use the Éphémère gallery as a playground.
